Celebrating our Wonderful Mums
With Mothers Day just gone we wanted to continue the celebrations with our very own story session dedicated to all our fabulous mummies. So, for the fith year running we turned to the wonderful 'My Mum' by Anthony Browne, who showed us that a mum can be and do so many things - paint, juggle, sing like an angel, roar like a lion, be a film star, an astronaut or even the big boss. They can be Superheroes! But the one thing she will always do is love us... and always will.
We enjoyed rainbow parachutes, butterflies and flowers and even danced a slow motion lap of victory around our room with chariots of fire ringing in our ears! We ended the session inviting each child to give a gift of a daffodil to their mum (and a few dads!) whilst we popped bubbles and sang 'You Are My Sunshine'. It felt very special..
